Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts intern to facilitate Tax filing of our associate institute based in Australia and VAT filing as well as other accounting functions for our associate based in Nepal.

This is an internship position and we welcome recent graduates or students in their final semester or year of Bachelors's or Master's. This is a paid internship with an opportunity to learn.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist in data entry of tax-related information into tax software or spreadsheets accurately and efficiently. 
  • Verify the accuracy of tax data and cross-check it against supporting documentation 
  • Help organize and maintain tax records, including tax returns, forms, and schedules. 
  • Support the preparation of tax returns for individuals, corporations, and other clients. 
  • Assist in gathering tax-related documents from clients.
  • VAT filing of the clients on a monthly basis. 
  • Aid in conducting research on tax regulations, laws, and updates to ensure compliance. 
  • Collaborate with the tax team to ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns. 
  • Assist in responding to inquiries from tax authorities and providing necessary documentation.
  • Assist the finance manager and finance associate in proper documentation and recording of data. 

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures
  • Professionalism and integrity in handling confidential information

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree completed or running in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Understanding of accounting principles and practices
